Indisputable Proof of Global Warming Revealed!

Remember, folks—you saw it here first!  Using the Internet I have compiled some images that prove, beyond any doubt, the truth about global warming.  Examine closely this web cam image of the Detroit skyline, taken just this morning, 5/4/2010.

Now compare that with this artist’s rendering of what that same view might have looked like some time ago.  Notice the difference…

Not enough for ya?  Try the next image, this time of Muskegon Harbor.  Again, like the first image, this is a webcam shot that I downloaded this morning…

Compare that to the following image of what this same view must have looked like around 11,000 years ago…

Notice that several of the creatures depicted here are extinct, proof of just how devastating this warming trend has already been.  ;-)

Am I making fun of this important issue?  Of course not.  Am I making fun of some of the people involved in the Global Warming debate?  Absolutely.  I challenge all those folks who dispute the existence of global warming to explain why the state of Michigan used to be covered by glaciers, and now isn’t.  I further challenge all those who claim that the industrial age is mostly responsible for global warming to tell us all when most of the glacier decay following the peak of the ice age actually occurred.

Yes, folks.  I have been steaming lately over the issue of global warming.  Can you tell?

Fact—The direction of the cause and effect of glacier decay and global warming is still under debate by the experts.

Fact—The regular glacier building/decay cycle seems to closely match a certain other cycle that I read about, concerning the tilt of Earth’s axis with respect to the sun.

Fact—The crisis-minded news media has flip-flopped several times between global warming and cooling scares, completely discrediting them on this issue.

Fact—The experts increasingly doubt that CO2 emissions directly effect global warming in any significant way, though some very important indirect influence is still under study.

Fact—The hesitancy by the proponents of man-made global warming to discuss the above “distractions” (and others) publically, gives the very important issue of global warming the look and feel of a manufactured crisis, and that gives its opponents ammunition.

Scientists shouldn’t behave like politicians involved in a conspiracy, they really are not very good at it.  If they do, then they shouldn’t act so shocked when folks start to treat them like politicians involved in a conspiracy.

We have here a chance for our species to prove that they can identify and solve problems in a responsible manner (i.e. like grown-ups), and we are blowing it.

Let’s have an open-minded, open-book, open-email discussion of this issue and find out if modern man really is speeding up the warming trend of this planet.

If we are, then let’s all get together and do what we can correct our portion of it.

If we aren’t, then let’s not impose hardships on the poor and middle class people of the world with teddy-bear solutions to a non-problem.

  1. I think you’re an idiot!
It’s NOT funny; it’s not FOR fun. It SHOULD be taken seriously by EVERYbody. When we’re ALL in accord on it, THEN we can make fun w/it, as we work to fix it.

      You called me an idiot!
      Awesome!

I think I’ll send you a free t-shirt that says, “I was the first person to call Bill Housley an idiot on his blog…and all I got for it was this stupid T-Shirt.”

I’m serious. Please PM me on Facebook, Ron, and give me your mailing address and shirt size.

  2. Sharp wit, sharp observations. I thought the science was settled? Silly me.
